Installing psycopg2 on Mac 10.10.1

Download Postgresapp, install it, add to PATH:

PATH="/Applications/Postgres.app/Contents/Versions/9.4/bin:${PATH}"

If you have an earlier (or later version of Postgres.app), you might have to change the version number in the path to make it work. Now, in your virtual environment:

pip install psycopg2

The installation should proceed without any issues. This installation also resolves the issue: Error: pg_config executable not found.
