What is the objective?

To press pause and document what you have learned

Why is this important?

Too often we forge ahead without ever taking the time to gather what we have learned and consciously apply it to the way we go forward. You have had plenty of conversations and you have gathered quite a bit of data, now use it.

What do you need to know to do this?

This is the last step in the Discovery Dance Stage. Gather all your Discovery Dance conversation notes.

The Project

This is a dance. You ask, you talk to people and you learn. You make offers, you get feedback and you learn. You sell, you deliver and you learn. You follow up and ask how it went and you learn. This stage is about gathering all you have learned and compiling it so you can glean all the goodies. Some will be glaringly obvious, some will only be uncovered with study.

In this project you document what you learned into your first draft of your customer’s journey. You will fine tune this journey as you learn more in Stage 4.

How will you you know you have succeeded with this project?

By the time you finish you should be clear on

  • Who your customers are.
  • How to attract more like them.
  • What they need to solve their problem
  • How to make them happy
  • Getting stories from them.

What is important to carry on to the next projects?

Your business idea is now validated. It’s time to start your business.

Every week I post the next Project. You are welcome to work on it here, ask questions in the comments, answer questions in the comments and let us know how you are doing.
