Fact v/s opinion

Fred Koffman, in his book, ‘Conscious business’, discusses the difference between a fact and an opinion. I found his explanation simple, yet deep.

A fact is a universal truth. “The company made a profit of $200 million” is a fact. However, “the company’s profits were low” is an opinion. Growing too fond of your opinion might not be a very good strategy. I may not agree with you and you may not agree with me and that is perfectly fine. The world is large enough to accommodate all kinds of people and all kinds of opinions.

Don’t agree because you have to. Agree because you want to.
