Opportunity… Why the Worst is the Best?

Now and then, an article will pop up on twitter with an eye-catching title that starts something like, ‘The Worst Things About [X, Y, Z]’, ‘The Worst Places For [X, Y, Z]’, ‘The Worst [blah, blah, blah], etc. etc..

When I see those articles, I think, “Ka-ching!” Those writers have done all the hard work for you and spotted business opportunities! Gaps in the market! They have identified areas that are ripe for improvement and investment. They have handed you an opportunity!

The same goes for existing businesses that are at the receiving end of criticism. Don’t shy away from it! Use it to fix your business, because if you don’t, your competitors will.

Opportunities like that are all around! So, next time you hear someone complaining about a product or service, eaves drop and take some notes!
