Opening celebration of Bishvil Shinuy — Stern st. trail, 26.7.2018

Following Small is Beautiful 2017, one of the students’ groups who studied Stern St, Kiryat Hayovel, Jerusalem, decided to execute an idea to better the neighborhood. The concept took shape and became a trail running along Stern st. with three paths. The trail runs through individual green initiatives, done by residents of the street to expose the work and caring of the individuals, to show beautiful points in the neighborhood and to connect and empower the community. The three paths are geared towards younger audiences (kids up to 8 years old), families, and hikers that walk longer distances.

On the 26th of July we celebrated the opening of the trail and walked through the points of interest, marked by specially designed signs. We met at the beginning point of the trail — the Hassfeld community center where a specially designed map was hanged and walked along the trail, meeting residents along the points of interest. We concluded with kids of the neighborhood planting some herbs at one of the points.
