Small Spark Theory® Episode 34: Phil Gripton

This year, I spent more time than usual escaping the London agency bubble and visited some of our major creative agency communities across the country.

Thanks to the Design Business Association and Agency Collective, I’ve had the opportunity to speak at new business events in Bristol, Edinburgh, Manchester and Leeds, and hear from a wide range of agencies about their growth challenges.

I’ll be heading back to Manchester next month for the final leg of this current tour (!) so I was interested to speak with Phil Gripton from growth advisory firm Waypoint Partners to get his view on the growth opportunities for agencies in the North.

Phil’s experience spans three decades of growing, running and selling agencies, as well as buying agency services in a number of client-side roles.

In this episode of Small Spark Theory, Phil shares his top tips for maximising agency performance, from boosting profitability to shaping up for acquisition.

Listen in to find out how to win a copy of Phil’s recommended read: Invisible Power by Ken Manning, Robin Charbit and Sandra Krot.
