Choose to Put It Down When You Pick It Up
“Exercise is a dirty word. Every time I hear it I wash my mouth out with chocolate.”
- Charles M. Schulz
Just for today…
When you find yourself with something sweet in your hands, put it down.
You can pick it back up if you want to. Up to you.
I just want you to start forming the habit of putting it down.
Choice is an act of selecting or making a decision when faced with two or more possibilities.
What you choose matters.
It matters to the current you and it matters to the future you.
The aim isn’t to guilt you into making healthier decisions.
The aim is to instill awareness.
Today the awareness is about realizing when something sweet is in your hands.
Only when you have that awareness can you have a choice.
Sure, you can choose not to pick up the sweet thing in the first place.
However, chances are you’ll pick it up.
So, choose to put it down when you pick it up today.
