Like taking care of a houseplant, there are a few core things you need to live a happy life and flourish. Follow these simple steps and you’ll be most of the way towards blooming with an abundance of brightly coloured flowers for the world to enjoy.

1. Get plenty of Sunlight

Humans and houseplants need decent exposure to natural light. Get outside during daylight hours and you’ll not only avoid nasties like rickets, but your brain will feel better too. Just be sure to put on sunscreen if you live in a particular sunny area. No one wants skin cancer.

2. Drink plenty of water

Have you had a glass of water in the past hour? Be honest. Go and get one now … I’ll wait.

Fabulous, doesn’t that feel good? Give yourself a pat on the back, and go water any plants you’ve got inside.

Bodies, both human and plant, crave water. Both are routinely neglected by their owners when it comes to watering.

3. Get some exercise
