Small Town Life Pros and Cons

--

As I’m trying to fully embrace the Small Town Life(Style), I have been hit with a mixed list of Pros and Cons. I spoke with some people in groups I belong to and even searched online. A lot of it comes down to your personality.

I’ve compiled a list of the top Pros and Cons that the Internet and people I’ve chatted with have to offer. Then, I added my unfiltered opinion.

Let’s Start With the Pros:

1 | Strong Sense of Community — While I understand where people are coming from with this one, I have to disagree. I miss the ability to blend in that Large Cities offer. But I’m a complete introvert, so ignore me on this.

2 | Lower Cost of Living — Depending on what town you move to, yes, you can save so much on housing and insurance. This is true for me.

3 | Less Traffic and Pollution — Yes and No. Alright, yes, there is way less traffic in small towns, but they offer other pollution problems. For instance, in my Small Town, everyone seems to be a pyromaniac, and at least one person on my street has a fire daily. What are they burning? You might ask. Well, from my view on the top floor, it appears to be everything from lawn clippings, garbage, old carpet, and even what I thought was a body; it turned out to be a huge doll.
