In this episode, we talk with Evangelos Simoudis, the co-founder and managing director of Synapse Partners, a firm that invests in early stage companies developing applications that combine artificial intelligence with big data. We explore the possible business models for adoption of autonomous vehicles, the impact of AVs on consumers, the auto industry and rideshare companies, as well as the value proposition of big data in transportation.

Prior to his work at Synapse Partners, Evangelos was a managing director with Trident Capital and Apax Partners, and he also served as a technology executive and CEO of several startups. He has a Ph.D. in computer science from Brandeis University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from CalTech.
