There are some different paradigms and approaches, but we all have one thing in common: data is a crucial aspect of city infrastructure, as much as roads, electricity, etc.

It would be wrong to delegate the infrastructure to commercial companies like as Facebook, Uber, etc. It is important to talk about not only technological sovereignty, but about sovereignty and non-discrimination of the access to data.

At the same time, it should not turn into solely state-owned information but it should rather be an actual publicly open information, as much as information on public procurement or state officials’ income is.
