Post ICO Update — Final Amount Raised and More

From the birth of the idea to conduct an ICO at Smart Containers to the final distribution of all tokens was a long journey. The Smart Containers team has worked hard and we are more motivated than ever to perform, to grow, to create and to deliver.
As a running company that has to handle day-to-day business, we are proud of how smooth we have been able to coordinate between the running business and the ICO. The team, the advisors and everyone involved gave their best to make the Smart Containers story a success.
In this article, we want to give you some information about the SMARC and LOGI tokens after the ICO. We also want to give you an insight into the companies future.
The total amount raised in the ICO
The ICO was closed with a total amount of USD 15.42M raised (includes private sale, pre-sale, and public sale). We are incredibly thankful for the trust we earned with our investors!
Next steps
After the successful minting and distribution of the tokens, we are about to distribute the tokens to the team members, advisors and bounty participants. The rest of the tokens stay with the company as a reserve. They stay locked up in the company wallet for at least 12 months after the ICO closing date. With the larger amount of tokens on our wallets, we have an even bigger incentive to drive the market price and the general market sentiment about the SMARC tokens.

Since the cofounders and all token holders will have aligned interests and incentives, we are all in a positive-sum-game. We do not want to use the ICO as a speculative springboard, but as way of funding innovation and change the world. Both Richard and Nico are committed for the long-term and not interested in a quick exit. Our aim is to use the collected funds to continue pushing the following business areas:

Our focus for the SMARC token now fully lies on exchange listings. We are not ready to announce any listings yet but we are in contact with a number of exchanges. The goal is to have SMARC listed on a selected group of exchanges to make sure there is something for everyone. Also, keep in mind that some people that are interested in the project might not have had the chance to participate in the ICO and want to buy tokens on the secondary market.

The company and the team
Both divisions of Smart Containers, SkyCell and FoodGuardians, are constantly developing partnerships. We will keep you informed about all upcoming news in regard to that. The latest partnerships we added are: DuPont Safety & Construction and Schoeller Allibert.
The LOGI Foundation has been founded and is currently under development. You can verify here (source in German). We are now in the process of putting together the relevant experts to move forward. We will inform regularly about the development of the foundation through our communication channels and our newsletter (link to sign up here).
The team and advisors are bound to stay. We have come a long way and will continue this journey of success together as one. Most of the advisors (apart from those that were specifically hired for the ICO) stay to drive the company value — and by that token value!
