Earlier this year, The World Economic Forum (WEF) released a report called “The Future of Jobs”. They surveyed hundreds of executives from world’s largest economies. This is what they came up with regarding job requirement predictions for future:
- Complex problem solving continues to be the top skill employers will seek.
- Critical thinking is a basic skill that will remain in high demand.
- Creativity will become a huge quality employers look for.
- People management is an ability that will be sought after.
- Coordinating with others is another thing robots haven’t perfected yet.
- Emotional intelligence is another social skill that will be in demand.
- Judgment and decision making will become a highly desired skill.
- Service orientation skills will be important.
- Negotiation skills will still be in demand.
- Cognitive flexibility will continue to be an important skill.
Robots will not take over the world, smart, creative, entrepreneurial professionals equipped with soft skills will.
