COVID-19’s detrimental impact on the film industry and freelance workers.

COVID has no doubt impacted any sense of normality over the last year, with all social spheres and workplaces adapting to this unprecedented “new normal”.

With the British film industry mostly financed by large Hollywood studios, significant pressure to ensure safe working conditions is more paramount than ever.
Cinema’s being closed since March, has paved the way for large streaming websites to fill this gap in the market.
The demand for films won’t diminish, however questions are being asked of the industry’s ability to recover from this significant setback.
