Sixteen-year-old, school leaver, Mitchell Abery shares his experience with landing his dream apprenticeship during a world wide pandemic.

Mitchell was shocked and frustrated when the government announced the closure of schools at the beginning of England’s first ever national lockdown and was left wondering what would happen next.

After his hard work he was celebrating on results day and soon after found out he had been accepted into his dream apprenticeship at BAE (British Aerospace Engineering).

He was able to work whilst learning how to be an engineer. The 16-year-old talks to us about his experience with his new apprenticeship and is joined by Lisa Abery, Mitchell’s mother as she expresses her joy for Mitchell.
