Who is the real designer of Apple Watch?

Marc Newson’s influence on Apple Watch is so obvious, that one question arise:

Did Jony Ive or Apple Team get inspiration from Marc Newson’s Ikepod watch and they had to hired Marc to justify this similarity?

or… Marc Newson is the real designer of Apple Watch? :)
