Former Indian cricketer Zaheer khan and Sagarika Ghatge an Indian Model and film actress tied their knot on Nov 23, 2017 in a low-key ceremony. Sagarika has worked in Hindi, Marathi and Punjabi films. She got stardom for her role as Preeti Sabarwal in the movie Chak de India. This film was based on the story of Indian Women National Hockey Team. Sagarika played a role of hockey player who dates a cricketer Abhimanyu in the film. The role she played in the movie is similar to her real-life character as she is also a National Level Hockey Player as well in real life and she got married to former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan.
How Zaheer Khan and Sagarika Ghatge Met?
There were rumors about the two that they were dating, later they made official announcement of their relationship on social media profiles. They also made their first joint appearance in Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech wedding. There was no confirmation of their relationship from them, but close sources confirmed their relationship.
On Monday April 24 2017 night, Sagarika and Zaheer made their engagement public. They received tons of wishes and greetings from their fans from across the world. Cricket world and movie fraternity also greeted them.
When Sagarika was asked why they kept their relationship private, Sagarika said, they waited for the right time to share everything. When asked how Zaheer khan proposed her, she shared very lovely details. She added, it was a surprise for her as well. They went to Goa during the middle of IPL season for two days vacations where Zaheer proposed to her and their actual engagement happened.

On Nov 23 2017, actress Sagarika and cricketer Zaheer khan got married in court. They opted for a simple court marriage. They also gave a grand reception for their Indian cricket team colleagues and bollywood celebrities on November 27 2017 at Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace and Tower. Zaheer and Sagarika arranged their mehndi ceremony on Sunday 26 2017 on this event their family members as well as special close friends like Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh, were present along with their wives. A day before mehndi function they also gave another party for their friends.
Sagarika is sports person just like her husband Zaheer Khan. Both believe in health and fitness to stay fit. They follow diet plan and always give priority to exercise and cardio training in morning.
