We started with quarterly reports in order to be more transparent with our employees, instructors, students — the SmartNinjas. We believe that in today’s world it’s more important than ever to build trust — and what’s a better way to do it, than this. We have looked at the data from our last quarter (Q3 2018) and these are the results.

Hundreds of students from 10 different cities started a SmartNinja course in Q3 2018.

Q3 2018 SmartNinja courses started in 10 different cities.

The first group of students enrolled in a SmartNinja course in Cologne, Germany.

The first course in Cologne, Germany: Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Technology.

The first group of students enrolled in a SmartNinja course in Banja Luka, BiH.

The first course in Banja Luka, BiH: Web Development 1.

34.4% of our students are female…

… which is 6.9 percentage points less that in Q2 2018. But we’ll work on improving this!

Students who finish our courses rate them with an average of 8.8/10.

This is 0.2 percentage points better than in Q2 2018!

The average course grade by students for all courses that ended in Q3 2018 (8.8/10).

We participated in a big project called CODE.INNOVATE.CONNECT!

The project called CODE.INNOVATE.CONNECT took place in Slovenia between September and November 2018. It was a cooperation between the multinational corporation SAP, the non-governmental organization Ypsilon Institute and the SmartNinja Slovenia. It was organized as a set of multiple courses where more than 200 students learned about coding and new technologies, such as blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

We launched a new course: JavaScript.

Our go-to language for teaching beginners how to code is Python. But due to the huge rise of JavaScript in the recent years we decided to start teaching JS in our new advanced course. The JavaScript course will soon be available in all SmartNinja franchises and it will give students strong fundamentals before diving into any of the modern JavaScript frameworks.
