How to Participate in the SmartOne LEGAL Token Launch

This article will be showing you how to participate in the SmartOne LEGAL Token Launch via Coinbase/MyEtherWallet (There exists other alternatives, such as using the MetaMask plugin supported by our dApp).

1. Creation of an Ethereum Wallet
2. Purchasing of ETH on a seller platform
3. SMS Verification or KYC Verification.
4. Contribution (Phase 1)

Step 1. Create your Ethereum Wallet

Visit www.myetherwallet.com
Make sure that it is the correct website and address. (Watch out for phishing)

Come up with a strong password, fill in the form, make sure to remember it by heart, and then press ‘Create New Wallet’.

To store the Keystore File, click **‘Download Keystore File**’ and save the file somewhere on your computer or on a thumb drive for extra security.

Make sure to write down or print your Private Key to create a Paper Wallet. There is no way to remind you of your password or Private Key if it is lost.

There are many ways of accessing your wallet. Paste or type in your private key, then click ‘**Unlock**’ or use the saved Keystore File.

Step 2: Purchase your first Ether

Since SmartOne is only accepting Ether (ETH) for contributions, you will first need to buy some ETH.

For simplicity, this article will only show one of the many possibilities to contribute and it is via Coinbase.

Login to your MyEtherWallet again and click on the Coinbase widget you see when being logged in. *More informations:* *https://goo.gl/CnmcW2*

There are many ways to deposit funds to your Coinbase account. Bank wires being an example, please find the one that is more appropriate to your situation. After funding your account, it will be possible for you to buy Ethereum (Ether/ETH) by selecting the “Buy” option available in your dashboard.

Once having the ETH in your account, you will have the option to send them to the MyEtherWallet address you previously created. Fill your MEW Address in the “Recipient” slot of the interface and the “Amount in ETH” you want to send before clicking “**Continue**”.

You will now be able to contribute on our dApp at: https://legaltoken.io With your recently acquired Ethers.

Step 3:

SMS Verification

To connect, select MyEtherWallet or Metamask. In this example, after adding the MetaMask plugin, the symbol will appear in the bar. Use it to login to your account.

The next step in the process is the SMS Verification. After enabling your plugin and clicking on the “**Verify now for 10% Bonus**”, a window will appear asking you for a phone number.

You will afterward be prompted to pay for the transactions fees linked to the SMS verification. In this example, MetaMask interface is used. Pressing “**SUBMIT**” will allow the process to go forward and make your phone number attached to your Ethereum address.

**You are now SMS Verified and ready to participate in the contribution phase with a bonus of 10%.**

KYC Verification

The Fidendity platform will open, asking you for your personal information. Upon filling the slots, click on “**Next**”

The platform will ask you to provide a profile picture. Once provided, click on “**Next**”.

The platform will ask you to provide a picture of the back of an ID card. Once provided, click on “**Next**”.

The platform will ask you to provide a picture of the front of the same ID card. Once provided, click on “**Next**”.

Upon providing the required information, an SMS verification process will be underway. Type in your phone number. Once receiving the verification code, write it in the slot used for this purpose and click on “**Check pin**”.

Step 4: Contribution

Phase 1:
- SMS verified addresses: Limited to 30 ETH contribution. 10% Bonus.
- Full KYC verified addresses: Unlimited contribution. 15% Bonus.
