Microsoft announces first wave of Windows Phone 7 handsets

Microsoft held a press conference this morning to announce nine new Windows Phone 7 handsets. Microsoft has prepared a variety of handsets from Dell, HTC, LG, and Samsung. The company has also made partnerships with over 60 carriers in over 30 countries, making the phones available to a large number of consumers. Many of these phones will be available for the holiday season in 2010 with more arriving in 2011. Hit the jump to see the list of phones that will be available in 2010.

AT&T — HTC Surround, Samsung Focus, LG Quantum

T-Mobile — HTC HD7, Dell Venue Pro

Telus — HTC 7 Surround, LG Optimus 7

Microsoft also noted that Windows Phone 7 devices will be coming to Verizon and Sprint in 2011.
