SmrtCase announced the availability of its new case design, the SmrtCase Glide. The case is slim, comes in colors, and protects the phone… So what makes this case different? It comfortably carries two cards (credit cards, id cards, etc) and allows for easy access with a “thumb-glide”. The SmrtCase Glide is currently available for the iPhone 3G/S and the BlackBerry Tour but will releasing cases for the BlackBerry Bold 2 and BlackBerry Curve this Spring. SmrtCase sent us a few cases to try out and review. Check out our thoughts!

When we opened up the package for the iPhone 3G case, we instantly noticed how small and light it is. The company says that the case is impact-resistant and made from 100% recyclable polymer. It is a hard case that snaps on the back of the phone and really grips it tight. The edges of the iPhone are covered to prevent problems if you were to drop the device. When I put the case on the iPhone, I was stunned by how thin it was. In my opinion, it makes the iPhone actually feel thinner, like the size of a iPod Touch.

Turn the phone around and there is a built-in card holder that is designed to comfortably hold two cards. The cards are securely held and will not come out. To get the card out, just slide your finger on the opening on the back of the phone and the card will slide out. It is really convenient if you only carry around a credit card and your id because you wouldn’t necessarily need a wallet.

The SmrtCase Glide is available from the company’s website. It is available for the iPhone 3GS and the BlackBerry Tour. The case will run you $29.99. Buy your case here.
