T-Mobile announced the release dates of the T-Mobile G2x smartphone today. Available online on April 15 and in stores on April 20, the T-Mobile G2x will be the carrier’s first dual-core phone. Running on Android 2.2, the G2x will have 512MB of RAM and the dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor for fast user experience.

T-Mobile is marketing this phone as the ultimate mobile gaming device, with both a dual-core processor and a 4" touch screen with 480x800 resolution. To help you get started with your gaming, T-Mobile is preloading each device with a full version of Need for Speed SHIFT HD and a demo version of Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance (NOVA).

T-Mobile has announced its first dual-core phone, the 4G-capable T-Mobile G2x with Google.

Paired with 512 MB RAM and a vanilla version of Android, the dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 delivers a fast Web browsing experience, smooth game play, instantaneous touch response and seamless multitasking between applications.

The G2x is being marketed as the ultimate mobile gaming device with its 4" touch screen display with 480x800 resolution. T-Mobile will preload each phone with a full version of Need for Speed SHIFT HD and a demo version of Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance (NOVA).

The G2x will retail for $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year contract. The no-contract price of the phone is $499.99.
