Verizon detailed the launch of “the largest most advanced 4G network in the World”. The new network will launch on December 5 in 38 markets. At launch, the LG VL600 USB Modem will be available and the Pantech UML290 will be available soon after. Both of the devices will be $99.99 after a $50 rebate with a new two-year agreement. Both devices will be compatible on both the 4G and 3G network. According to a Verizon press release, the data packages will start at $50 a month for 5GB of data and $80 a month for 10GB of data. Both plans have a $10 per GB overage fee. But what about consumer-oriented handsets? They will be available by mid-2011, and we are assuming we will see some announcements at CES in January.
