You can invest a few thousand dollars in cameras, lights, and mics to film yourself for an acting role if you want to.

Jeremy Gladen and I had a discussion about his experience with casting auditions and shares how actors can just as easily use their smartphone cameras and achieve great results. Something he’s done many times.

Jeremy’s been cast in some great roles and we discussed his role as Tommy Braun in the 2019 film “I See You,” with Helen Hunt, and other notable actors.

We discussed how the film would have done well without his character’s scene. However, even though they cut out other parts of the scene, they left a very intense part. I believe it’s because his performance in that scene was too fascinating and provided a very intense emotional moment in the story.

When you go to Jeremy’s Gallery on his website, you’ll find a number of short clips and scenes in which Jeremy performs. But Jeremy has also created some very good short films with the spirit of one act plays. Jeremy has a background in theater and photography.

Actor Jeremy Gladen is a talented professional actor living in Los Angeles, California.

His creative perspective and artistic talent comes through in his short films and photography. But I believe, Jeremy’s ability to dive deep into the emotions of a character are immense.

Jeremy Gladen is a first year judge at the 13th Edition of the International Mobile Film Festival in San Diego, California. Jeremy will spend all three days in San Diego April 26–28 soaking up the IMFF experience and meeting the attending filmmakers.

It was in Big Bear, California, where we met in the Spring 2009. Jeremy and I worked on a feature film about Walt Whitman, where he played a young civil war soldier.

It was just after working on that film production that I came back to San Diego and immediately launched the festival.

I asked Jeremy questions about his past and where his inspiration to act came from. It began around the age of five with his father. A unique and inspiring story you should listen to him tell.

Jeremy is from Cleveland, Ohio and when he decided he wanted a career as an actor, he moved to Los Angeles, California. He’s lost count of how many roles he’s played since.

Jeremy admits most actors, including himself, find it hard to watch their own onscreen performances. However, Jeremy’s talented behind the camera as well as in front of the lens.

His imagination is fascinating, and I believe it enables him to portray intense emotions and feelings from a character. Watch him perform many roles on his website and listen to our discussion in the podcast.

We hope you’ll make it to IMFF 2024 this April and meet Jeremy in person. Perhaps, even cast him for a lead role in your next film.

Watch Jeremy’s performances on his website and his demo reel.
