With Smilo’s main propositions and vision in mind we have redesigned Smilo’s main website giving it a fresh new look! Below, we will elaborate on these propositions.

For those who are new to the Smilo platform, Smilo is a decentralised, open source, hybrid blockchain platform that will be able to facilitate hybrid transactions, hybrid smart contracts and hybrid decentralised applications — with ‘hybrid’ referring to both public and private. As such, Smilo will safeguard the privacy of any individual’s data whilst warranting full transparency from the organisations that these individuals interact with.

Smilo is based on the Smilo BFT+ protocol, which ensures fully secure, scalable, quick, and sustainable transactions. Considering these features, we call Smilo our hybrid blockchain platform with a conscience.

The age of information has empowered individuals to be the moral gatekeepers of society, holding business, governments and non-profit organisations accountable. It is against this background that Smilo has decided to develop human-centered technology that ensures speed of delivery, nuanced level of integration, sustainability, privacy and security.

Smilo is the hybrid blockchain platform that warrants transparency whilst protecting the individual’s personal data. Meaning that Smilo will create an open source environment which delivers transparency and accountability from organisations to individuals.

Smilo will be anti-corruption, and we will achieve this through the non-reversible data lock in for tenders and elections.

Scalable & Fast

Smilo’s network is optimized for a technique similar to sharding, by which it will be able to scale infinitely. However, from the start, Smilo will already be over 100 times faster than Ethereum and other similar platforms.

Affordable

Smilo’s transactions will be very affordable, they will even be free if you stake a few Smilo tokens. However, if you decide to not stake any Smilo tokens, a transaction will cost around 0,001 XSP (around 0,005 USD).
