You can see the portfolio project on my website:

In short, Listify was a 6-week design school group project where we combined data structures with UX thinking. The final result was an mid-fidelity interactive Framer protoype.

Since the project ended, I’ve been keeping busy with other projects as well as internships which made me partially forget about Listify.

However, since I had such little time to actually design the product, the end result has a lot of room for improvement. The designs work to communicate the idea but are still a little rough around the edges when it comes to visual design and functionality.

So to not let this project end it its current state, I refined the visual design. I made sure not be constricted to the initial colors, typography and layout but rather choose what I thought to be the most suitable.

I adjusted the graphic to be more representative of the app functionality and utilized content strategy instead of just using “Listify” as a heading. For the signup flow I adjusted the content to be closer to the user’s thumbs and easier to use. I also added a progression bar to highlight how short the signup process is.

For the main functionality I mainly made the sharing process clearer and adjusted the item author indicator. Instead of text, I utilized the profile pictures. This obviously comes with an added challenge of what happens if the user doesn’t have one but that’ll be part of my UX refinements.

When going through the designs, I noticed many opportunities to expanding the UX for a better sharing experience and to optimize flows for the shopping list use case. I will be looking at that in the near future so stay tuned.

Thanks so much for reading and I hope you have a fantastic day!
