Dead Body found at Ladera Ranch dog park (VIDEO)

A call was received at 10:25 am on Sunday, July 9, 2023, to report an unresponsive male body laying in the bushes across from the main entrance to the dog park. At least four police cruisers were dispatched along with resources from Orange County Fire Authority. CPR was attempted but failed to resuscitate the individual. The person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At least one witness claims to have seen substance abuse-related paraphernalia adjacent to the body, however, OCSD could not confirm that items relating to substance abuse were recovered or related to the incident.
Foul play is not suspected, and the Sherrif Department confirmed they are awaiting the results of a toxicology report before making a determination on the official cause of death.
The individual has been identified as 38-year-old Ethen Angcayan, the registered owner of OC Pet Sitters, a professional pet-sitting service based in Ladera Ranch, CA.
