Summer Camp at Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahemdabad was really wonderful. The organization of the camp was great, everything was so well planned and executed that it taught me how should I manage my time on a daily basis. The camp started with everyone introducing ourselves, firstly I thought that it would be difficult for me to interact with everyone but the Head of camp planned the activities in such a way that interaction became really easy. There were students from different states of the country studying in different schools and colleges. The day use to start with yoga at 6AM, which was a nightmare for all of us as we had to wake up so early in the morning everyone hated that and tried different ways of bunking but the teachers at the camp were very clever they used to wake up all of us at 5:30 so that no one misses yoga. Then we had a 15min prayer meeting followed by breakfast. The Course would start at 9 AM sharp. Each day we had to present the learning’s of the previous day in front of everyone so that each student get to think from a different Point of view. We were assigned in groups and each group had to present a presentation related to a subtopic of Entrepreneurship, secondly the group had to use their creativity to present a cultural program which included dancing, singing etc.
The camp taught us about Entrepreneurial education and the basic skills required to start and operate a business. To be successful, entrepreneur the training must not only be effective through factual knowledge and limited skills acquired in the classroom but also through the industrial visits and live demonstration of those things. A visit to the GVK Emergency Resource Institute located in the nearby area taught us about the emergency facilities provided to the full state of Gujarat from a remote location in Gandhinagar. Any call made to 108 or 112 emergency no. in Gujarat was operated by this research institute, within 15 minutes emergency services were provided to the these people.
Rather than all of this, the friendships made their were amazing we enjoyed so much in the campus clicked many pictures and learned a lot of things. My overall experience at EDII was way too good than I expected, all thanks to the EDII department and Saurabh Nanda sir who suggested me to visit the summer camp.
