I’m a big advocate of nature therapy. It’s the pick-me-up that can never fail.

Living in a concrete jungle is depressing… but the determined wildflowers in pavement cracks, vivid colours flashing at unexpected corners, eccentric pods hanging from trees (& so on :) bring so much joy to a dry soul.

“How much of beauty — of color, as well as form — on which our eyes daily rest goes unperceived by us…”

- Henry David Thoreau, philosopher, poet, and environmental scientist

Hope you enjoy these photos captured during a morning stroll.

Cat’s paw indeed
An inviting cascade of Wedelia
Purple flat bean tangling the gate of a deserted plot. Seeds must have been dropped by birds
I don’t know their name… but look at these yellow firecrackers lighting up a drab patch! With Dandelions for company
This modest climber throwing dainty pink buds.. that later ripen into plump seeds
A mature portion of the above climber — with the ripe seeds. I was unsure if the cream coloured petals belong to the same plant..shall investigate soon
I can never have enough Lantanas… :)
Winter’s touch. Notice the fresh new growth?
How fashionable is this? Days ago this tree was producing sober, light yellow blooms that attracted lots of bats, birds and other pollinators

Thanks for reading. I hope you make time to explore your surroundings too, no matter where you are.

Through a few weeks of diligent Medium usage, I’ve been very impressed with
