A snap of Self-Love
In the wee hours, I wake up to hold on to one of my favourite parts of the day — my workout time with a yoga routine. (Outdoor activities are strictly prohibited due to poor air conditions in my city, so yoga is the only saviour). Some moments of silence, creating a calm space for myself, which brings comfort, to set my intentions and create the right headspace to go about the day.
On the yoga mat on a chilly morning, I sat with my legs wound in socks & with a lit candle, as the sun hadn't risen yet. I will be honest, it is tempting to sleep in the warm sheets, but yet here I am — I’m up.
I know I deserve this time, my body and mind need this. This time rescues me. Reminds me to be kind to myself. Builds a body-soul-mind connection, nurtures my strength & power to go through the challenges each day. It is time I reboot myself each morning, even when it is a cold wintry morning, I need this. I need this and I say it is worth it because this is what I call self-love. Self-love is showing up for yourself no matter what comes your way & doing your best, evolving to become the best version of yourself, on your path to become the loving, kinder, unapologetic version of yourself!
