A Woodpecker as Pretty as a Picture
“I would pose like this more often if you provided peanuts”
I’m unreasonably proud of the in-camera framing job I did on this female Red-bellied Woodpecker. The image calls to a mind a spring day when I watched a male and female perform their figure-eight courtship dance in a southeast Louisiana forest not too far from my house.
