If you are at all familiar with Amsterdam you’ll know that one of the main sources of transportation is the bicycle. Whether you’ve been there yourself, or seen it in movies and TV shows, bicycles are one of the main characters of the city.
If you are a pedestrian, as you wander the streets it’s quite a feat to stay out of the way of those who are on two wheels. It is not always easy.
Thankfully they have bells on their bikes and they are not afraid to use them!
As a photographer, the bikes make it easy to find little scenes within the areas you wander. They make a great subject and help tell the story of Amsterdam in your photos.
