I see a lot of stickers on my California travels — Long Beach, Huntington Beach, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Los Angeles, and Palm Springs. Some are artsy, cute, profane, and cryptic. Some are about bands, clubs, sneaker brands, politics, public announcements, and surf stores. Some people overdo it, while others like a minimal approach to sticker sticking. Whatever the messages the stickers convey, they are a part of our lives like other forms of street art.
If everyone listened to this sticker, no one would be on the streets.
The placement of a sticker is vital. This Santa Barbara one is positioned perfectly. It has a political, social, health, safety, and ecological message. And, what’s more, I agree with it.
