Dwight Yoakam is doing A Thousand Miles From Nowhere

I caught the sunrise from the top of the hill on the front range of the Rockies on my way from my home in Bellvue, Colorado a few days ago. Headed for Detroit, Michigan, on to Johns Creek, Georgia, on to Biloxi, Mississippi, back to Johns Creek, then on back home next Monday. Whew.

I’m mixing work and play, but I’ll be more than happy to be back home!

There were two major wrecks on I-285 from the Atlanta airport to Johns Creek. I have almost been hit at least three times since getting up into town. I lived in Johns Creek for 17 years. Do I miss Georgia? Not only no, but hell no.

Back home, cows and horses, joggers and bicycles make up the bulk of traffic on the local roads. And geese overhead. I managed to get a shot from my deck of identifiable Canada geese and not just dot birds!
