Common Eastern Bumblebee

Like our hummingbirds, they like salvia

Our salvia garden has been busy this August. Starting two weeks ago, a steady stream of hummingbirds have visited the flowers, including some combining dining with mating. Almost as interesting, however, and easy to overlook, are the bumblebees, specifically common eastern bumblebees.
