It will be a year next week since we last saw something live. I remember it well, it was a Major League Soccer Game — the New England Revolution and the Chicago Fire at Foxboro.

My tween and I went and stood in the Fort. He was a bit unsure at first — it’s the part of the stadium that’s all drumming and yelling — it took him all of about three minutes to get into it and he was fine.

He loves baseball, he loves Fenway Park, in fact he loves any place where baseball is played. For the last few years, we’ve made a point to visit as many baseball parks as we can, and he longs for this to start again.

We will go again, I keep telling him.

This will pass.
