This is a tribute to the pouty little Bulldog that shares cookie dough and a birthday with me. Her name is Fluffy and her nicknames include: Fluff Bottom Jeans, boots with the paws, Fluffernutter, McFluffin, Fluffin-stuff, Fluffaletta, Bookah-Bookah and MooMoo. She resides with her mom and her auntie. She loves men, and I don’t mean the k9 variety, yet they never seem to hang around for long.

Fluffy Hits the Open Road

Fluff has lived in more exciting cities than most people: She was born in Lexington-Fayette, KY, then was adopted by a beautiful blonde and moved to Nashville, TN. Before long, she trekked the 13 hours “home” to Bedford, TX, just 26 minutes shy of Fort Worth. This move was crucial because that is when she was introduced to her auntie.

Fluffy would lay on her computer when she would spend the night after going out too late with her mama. She would nibble on her shoes to indicate which ones were grandma shoes and auntie should never wear again. Best of all, she would sleep nestled between intoxicated mama and inebriated auntie. Bulldogs, after all, are the best remedy for a hangover.

Finally, she moved to Charleston, SC with auntie and mama complete. Now auntie could take her on daily walks, cook her people food safe for dogs, and rub her belly (and butt) any time she wants. Nothing she loves more than a good butt rub.

She is never amused when her auntie and mama go out and dance the night away until the wee hours of the morning. Can’t they just stay in and Netflix and Chill with her? Regardless, living in a two parent home, isn’t ruff stuff; she loves these too knuckleheads till kingdom come.
