Fog adds mystery to Madeira

I’ve already written about our trip to Madeira in another publication, but need to respond to a challenge about fog, here in Snapshots, with some images that show a less sunny and more mysterious aspect of the island.

As you drive from one side of the island to the other, some of the roads take you quite high on the steep slopes of this mountainous volcanic island. And where high mountains and low clouds interest, that is where you find these mysterious landscapes and locations.

Holidays on islands are not only about white beaches and snorkelling above the coral, there is real mystery in other settings, other weather conditions, too.
