A new day slowly reveals itself. It doesn’t just appear, like turning on a light switch.

You probably knew that. But how many times have you watched the arrival of a new day?

I confess that I haven’t watched as many as I would like. But when I get that chance, I like to take it ALL in.

And there are several stages to enjoy…

Dawn (Blue Hour)

Settle in with a cup of coffee, and maybe a warm jacket or blanket if you’re in a chilly locale. Grab a comfy chair, and look east.

The first appearance of the sun’s light in the sky represents the start of “dawn”. This “twilight” time is sometimes called the “blue hour” (even though it doesn’t typically last an hour).

The blueish hues are self-evident, though, as are the purples and pinks:
