Immersive Klimt Revolution
Art in Boston
I attended the Klint immersive experience in Boston on its opening night. The champagne was flowing, and excitement tickled our senses as we waited for the “show” to begin. A band kept our ears happy, and our eyes feasted upon images of Klimt’s famous painting, The Kiss.
A presenter introduced us to the art and told us a little about the artist, Gustav Klimt. We learned how Klimt and his followers took over, creating the art revolution in Vienna, Austria. Klimt was known as a famous portrait artist in Vienna. He plunged into psychological depths no one had dared to explore. Another interesting fact was that Klimt had many children, but he never married. I noticed the multitude of women he painted and wondered how many of them had been his mistresses.
I really enjoyed the Klimt immersive experience. The photos were beautiful. The show ended with a little taste of techno, which was an interesting twist.
