Life After Flood

Erica Graham

The sky darkens as the clouds weep for days.

Waters rise.

We are cognizant of the frailness of life.

We are reminded how we strive for years to build what can be washed away in the blink of an eye.

The sun permeates the dark.

Waters crest then recede.

At the end of it all, we are reminded…

Life continues.
