Some years ago my partner, Bruce, got me a Lava Lamp as a gift. I have always loved them, and they were especially cool while listening to psychedelic ‘60s music. This present one has been around our home since the early 1990s.

We think it may be getting a bit decrepit. It takes a while to heat up, and does not always deliver the interesting, slithery shapes in the same way it used to. But we enjoy watching it go through its different stages.

So, for your fun and entertainment, here is our Lava Lamp, AKA The Bloopa da Bloopa Machine in action, during a recent dinner.
