Mogollon Rim cuts across the northern half of Arizona. The Rim is a steep slope or long cliff formed by vagaries of mother nature over the years. The steep slopes and cliffs are visible while driving on Arizona State Route 260 towards the Mogollon Rim visitor center. Unfortunately, the visitor center was closed. So we went into Rim Road. The roads weren’t paved but navigable. There were many viewpoints where you could park your vehicle and soak up the scenes. There were also many campsites where many vehicles were parked with temporary camps were set up. There were activities in the camp, and the inviting smell of grilling made us hungry.

We pulled into one of the viewpoints, took our camera gear out, and took some photos. As you can see from the pictures, there were edges on the cliff where one could pose. Unfortunately, the slopes were steep, and there was nothing to hold on to for safety. So if you are a person who is afraid of heights, these spots are not for you. I am not describing the place more as you can see the beauty for yourself from the pictures.
