My granddaughter recently celebrated her 9th birthday. I’ve been in charge of my grandchildren’s birthday parties for most of their lives. I plan great parties — just ask, they’ll agree.
For her Number 9, she invited her two best friends for lunch at her favorite pizza restaurant, a spa day getting manis and pedis, then to my house to decorate 48 cupcakes that my granddaughter and I baked the night before and to make 20 homemade empanadas for dinner.
A day of good food, lovely nails, and happy memories! The remaining days of giggling, singing, dancing girls who want to hang out with me are numbered.
I will enjoy every one until they end.
