Here is a short HOW-TO piece for improving your photos!

These few tips will help you master the art of taking snapshots that:

* interest your friends,

* provide food for thought,

* please the eye

* create a sense of mystery,

* give context without distracting from the main subject.

How do you take a picture on your phone?

The usual simplistic formula would be: pull out the phone; swipe to the camera button, center the screen on the main view, choose the best outer limits for the frame; and then press the shutter button. Done!

These instructions are perhaps the correct finger movements, but they are very much the wrong way to think about the picture-taking process.

* Framing is composing; composing is telling a story.
