The Red Kite was an endangered species in the UK with just 2 breeding pairs. A programme of re-introduction and protection has been an amazing success with hundreds of these birds now resident in Wales.

This photo was taken from the Wales Coast Path, an 870-mile-long path that runs the entire length of the country’s coast.
