[From center, clockwise] My laptop (where yours truly attempts to wrestle words into coherent submission); an illustrated version of Strunk & White’s The Elements of Style (it really should be the Chicago Manual of Style 16th Edition, but the size threw the composition off); one of several elusive pairs of reading glasses; Christmas lights necklace (homage to my twelve years with the Radio City Christmas Spectacular); cross pendant (symbol of Christ, faith, love, hope, life, always worn, but not out of superstition); asterisk paperweight (used to keep loose papers in order, but the goal is to never need it); Louvre: The Arts Face to Face coffee table book (representative of my fascination with all things French and my design aesthetic); earphones (one never knows when the need to block out pesky distractions will arise); a notebook and pen (I try to never leave home without one, inspiration comes at the oddest times); my father’s watch (legacy, baby!); Tiffany & Co Christmas 2017 gift guide (hints inside — ha!); old Disney name tag (self-explanatory); Donald Duck bobblehead (symbol of my former alter-ego, vehicle of torture, and self-discovery — let’s talk about that some time).
