As editors of SNAPSHOTS, we’ve been delighted by the amazing talent of our contributors. Week after week we receive submissions with truly extraordinary photos accompanied by fascinating narratives. Now we have a challenge for you completely different from anything else we’ve ever done before.

We’d like you to tell us a story without using any words at all. Give us a set of pictures—no less than three, no more than ten. We’d like you to spark our “readers” imaginations to see how your photos are connected. Make it fun, scary, mysterious, personal or social, new or old. It goes without saying that the relationship between your pics shouldn’t be so obscure that no one could possibly figure out what the story is.

Please follow the usual submission guidelines for SNAPSHOTS (check them out under Details on our Info page). All the pics must have been taken by you, do not include photos of children, all adult pics must be accompanied by written permission, no pornography, etc. The only words allowed in this challenge are a title, subtitle and an acknowledgement that all the photos are yours.

We’re really looking forward to seeing what you’ve got. Here’s my story.

I Thought It Was Just a Cold

Thank God for four shots
