Landscapes really aren’t my thing, but there are times when the opportunity is perfect and there’s no resisting the moment. This was one of those times.

Really, the magic in the landscape isn’t in the picture itself, but what’s behind it. It’s a declaration: I was there. I did this, I worked for this. And when you had to beat the wind out of your lungs for hours to get that shot? When nature and gravity didn’t want you to get it, but you shrugged all of that off? True magic.
