The Ephemeral Life of a Rose

The fleeting moments of beauty, the descent into decay, and the absorption back into the great workings of nature twine together in every moment, every breath, every season to create a tapestry of ephemeral beauty. I was seized by the glow of this single rose, newly opened and paired with a smaller bud, and felt compelled to capture this cycle of life as it unfolded before my eyes.

Dusted with dewdrops, she turns her bright face towards the early morning sun.

She dances with the rosebud by her side, spreading her skirts wide.

In full bloom, the rose’s perfume wafts through the garden. Her companion nuzzles in a little more tightly, beginning to release the tightness of her own bud.
